Circular building of ionic order donated by
Philip II after the battle of Chaeronea (338 B.C.). It consisted of an outer
ionic collonade. The inside wall of the cella was divided by semi-columns of
corinthian order.
It was completed by Alexander the Great, and its interior was decorated with his
ancestors' busts, works of art attributed to the sculptor Leochares.
